Shaolin Temple Pictures After Journey From Dengfeng.

Soon after leaving Dengfeng for the journey by road to the Shaolin Temple the new Kung Fu schools can be seen, some of the Kung Fu schools have been completed, some are still being built. The Shaolin Temple itself is changing, with new halls being built, and improved facilities being provided for the Buddhist Monks, Students and disciples, and for the visitors. From the motions of birds and animals originated the exercises known as Kung Fu which was first practiced by the Buddhist Monks at the Shaolin Temple centuries ago.

Travelling to the Shaolin Temple site entrance by minibus takes about 15 minutes, but there are plenty of taxies available in Dengfeng. At the park entrance you either walk to the Shaolin Temple or take an electric shuttle-bus. The pictures from the Shaolin Temple below are links to larger copies which will open in new windows.

China Pictures from the Shaolin Temple show building construction work for a World Heritage Listing, working in shifts over 24 hours to complete the Shaolin Temple Buildings. Where the workers had come from is unknown but from observation, they were very experienced in the skilled work they were doing.
