Yamei, Dai, Wa Nationality Groups, and Lhasa Jokhang Monastery
The pictures of buildings in China shown on this page were taken at the Minorities Park, Beijing. Information concerning these images was kindly provided by the Public Relations Manager of the Minorities Park, and translated by Kate Chang Hong, Beijing. Their help is much appreciated.
Cultural Diversity of China: Wood Drum, White Pagoda, and Pilgrimage Road.
Nationality groups including Dong, Buyi, Jingpo and Yamei nationality are represented by buildings in a Beijing Park which show the cultural diversity of ethnic minority groups in China. Stone buildings of the Buyi Nationality and the thatched roof buildings of the Yamei Nationality are examples of the work of minority groups in China. To illustrate the cultural diversity of the minority groups in China, the Wind and Rain Bridge of the Dong Nationality is quite spectacular and is in sharp contrast to the Manfeilong White Pagoda of the Dai Nationality in Xishuangbanna.
