Chinese Countryside With Lake And Mountains Near Beijing
Chinese Countryside Scenery Of Lake And Mountains
The scenery viewed in the park near the hotel was completely different to the city scenery of Beijing, with its tower blocks and ring roads. After our lunch at the hotel, it was only a few minutes walk to the park, where some visitors were standing by the lake, with children looking into the water hoping to see something exciting. The leaves on the trees in the park had already started to take on their autumn colors, and they looked golden in the afternoon sunlight.
On the surface of the lake were reflections of the scenery of mountains and trees, and there were no ripples on the lake water to distort the reflections. Perhaps this was a scene for the artists to paint as a landscape, but all we had were cameras to record the scenes that were so colorful and peaceful. The park was an attraction for the people of Beijing and for the people in other provinces of China, who are now the main 'tourists' in the country. If we had visited this countryside lake the first time we had come to Beijing in 1987, the 'tourists' would most likely have been all westerners. At this visit to enjoy some wonderful scenery of lake and mountains, there seemed to be only one 'western' tourist, and all the other visitors were of Asian nationality, probably all Chinese.
